Theme: Africa’s Diversity- Communicating the Opportunities
The Federation of African Public Relations Associations (FAPRA) is the umbrella body of all National Public Relations Associations in Africa. It was inaugurated in Nairobi 1975.
FAPRA is a non–governmental, non–political and non–profit-making organization established to foster unity and interaction amongst Public Relation Practitioners as a whole.
Public Relations Association of Uganda is a member of FAPRA that makes every member of PRAU a member of FAPRA. The PRAU President is a member of the Governing Council of FAPRA.
FAPRA’s annual conferences are rotated in member countries to enhance continental ownership. The annual event is intended to bring together all Public Relations Associations based in African to rub minds and discuss relevant issues. PRAU was honored to host FAPRA 2007 PR Congress in Kampala, Uganda, 28th-30th June 2007. Uganda last hosted FAPRA in 1997.
